Artist Statement

I have always loved art – to create a three dimensional visual in a two-dimensional setting is both fascinating and challenging!

I am inspired by so many things – the changing colors of leaves against the sky! The colors of the clouds – a stormy sky; the water reflecting the beauty of nature!

But in all this, the common thread is light! The impressionists highlighted the effect of light, no matter how humdrum the subject! Every color changes with the injection of light – the sheen on a person’s face, the light flashing from a metallic object!

I hope I will have the opportunity to explore this through the medium of oil and water colors!

Apex Capital Management Inc. from 1997 - 2016​ ​​ Director and CFO ​ ​​ Portfolio Manager and specialized in analysis of Health care and Biotechnology sector. ​​ ​​ Company grew from <$100 million in assets in 1997 to $7 billion in assets in 2016. ​​ Started out with 2 people and grew to 27 at time of sale. ​ ​​ Managed Back Office and streamlined a lot of operations for account reconciliation and downloads from brokerage houses.

Studied in University of San Francisco for an MBA 1990-1991 ​​

Worked in India in The Investment Trust of India from1987-1991 ​ ​​

Finished Company Secretary Course from 1985-1987 ​ ​

Learnt​Oil Painting in Government School of Arts as a part-time student ​ ​​ MBA from Madras University 1982-1984​ ​

Studied in Stella Maris College from 1973-1977– Undergraduate in Chemistry ​Schooling in Presentation Convent Church Park from 1959- 1972 ​

Education: ​ ​​ University of San Francisco – Studied for MBA ​​Institute of Company Secretaries of India – Associate Company Secretary degree ​​University of Madras - MBA ​ ​ Activities: ​​Traveled extensively in India, South East Asia, Europe, Canada and the US. ​​Fluent in 3 different languages from the Indian Subcontinent. I also speak a little German.

Hobbies include Piano, Reading, Music & Theater.
